We have seen a surge in the sport for our area and want to give the best experience and safety advice to our customers. Following some great days out on the water we are teaming up with the founder of Nalini Yoga Ella Williams - Nalini Yoga Facebook
Ella is an adventurous & experienced tutor with a long list of outdoor activities qualifications in her portfolio. You will be in safe hands and learn the best way to enjoy your board in a location that is both beautiful and unique.
We have a few courses lined up for you designed to suit all ages and abilities listed below:
Intro to SUP :
Join our taster session for an introduction to SUP! You can be reassured that we will start simply: by transitioning from lying down to kneeling on the board we will help you understand how to maneuver your SUP with control. After introducing these basic paddling strokes to provide you with a strong foundation for further SUP adventures, we will then be testing out your balance - alongside your new steering skills - by standing up! Expect to get wet and enjoy some games on the water in a sheltered area to practice in. Ideal for first timers & those who are out of practice - or perhaps a bit nervous about the whole idea!
SUP Step Up :
So you've mastered paddling to an extent - perhaps even without any professional guidance!? In this SUP Step Up is the Improvers session we'll recap simple paddle strokes to improve your forward paddle efficiency, before introducing some more intermediate options to help develop your skill set. Be prepared to fall in - as we will be putting our skills to the test and working out the limits of our steering and balance! Getting confident here is key. Perhaps we'll have so much fun testing our skills we may just enjoy a series of games and challenges, or - if appropriate and the sea conditions allow - we may go for a short journey too! Ideal for those who've taken an introductory course or spent a little time on SUPs.
SUP Yoga :
Looking for a unique way of connecting your mind and body with the outdoors? You don't need any experience of paddle boarding for this activity, as we will go through a few basics with you to control your board and get used to balancing confidently. Once we are feeling ready, we'll anchor up in a sheltered spot and take a Yoga class on our SUPs! Keeping the positions simple, with an emphasis on breathwork and meditation; Yoga on a SUP can be a really enjoyable way to not only challenge yourself, but release any worries; as we finish our practice with a guided relaxation whilst floating gently on the water. Perfect for all abilities - this session will be crafted to suit all participants
